hello and Welcome to my site
My name is Lou and I'm really pleased to have you here. I'm a holistic facialist with a passion for green beauty.

I’m here to help you get your glow back, calm your nervous system and create a greener routine.
After 25 years working with skin as a makeup artist, I’ve now left the makeup behind to become a full-time skin therapist. And I love it.
I love helping women to become experts in their own skin, while also supporting them with challenges such as frazzled nervous systems and perimenopausal symptoms which can all play out through our skin.
There is so much confusion in the skincare world, it can be hard to know what the best things are to be using. We have enough stress in our lives, choosing a good moisturiser should bring a little happiness, not add to the load.
It’s not just about products though – yes, the right ones can be amazing but there is a limit to what they can do, especially when it comes to certain skin conditions.
The health of skin is dependent on the health of the rest of the body. You can’t support skin without supporting the nervous and lymphatic systems for example. Relaxing the body and mind helps it to feel safe, and that is when skin (and other) repair can happen.
My facials will help you understand your skin more but also deeply relax you. Tension is released, facial contours soften, and flow is restored, bringing glow and vitality.
Often described as a whole reset, my treatments are more than ‘just a facial’. Taking a holistic approach to 'skin care', means going further than skin-deep. I’ll work on many systems of the body not just surface level; the power of touch is quite amazing.
I also have a passion for the health of our planet. I use products that support skin but also our environment too. I’ve been championing green beauty for the last 15 years and have seen the positive effects it has; working in synergy with nature and with our skin.
I have a small studio in Bromley/South East London where I offer skin treatments and consultations. We can also chat online.
Get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!

AS FEATURED IN

A little more about my background -
I started my career in makeup 25+ years ago training initially in special effects at the London College of Fashion. On realising I preferred making people look quite nice (as opposed to decapitated), I changed my attentions to fashion, beauty and music. I then worked in all aspects of makeup artistry from moving image to stills, with work in publications such as British Vogue, Nylon, Stylist and Grazia.
I grew up with an interest in natural health, so experimenting with natural beauty products in my professional kit was the next step. As I discovered their potential however, I also found a darker side to the conventional beauty industry. Surrounded by makeup every day, I started to question what I was using. From unsavoury ingredients to a careless environmental impact, I realised that these were key elements of many of the products I had in my kit. I made a conscious decision to try and make my kit as green, clean and ethical as it could be. I was one of the first UK artists to take that path, it wasn’t easy back then; however, it was the start of an amazing journey.
Over the years I have worked with green beauty brands such as RMS Beauty, Weleda, BYBI, Alima Pure, Beauty Kitchen and Content Beauty. I’ve spoken on many beauty panels and have given talks and masterclasses on green beauty, working with organisations such as the Soil Association. I’ve also taught at a makeup academy for the last fifteen years.
16 years on, health and environmental factors still drive my passion although my direction has changed with a mid-life pivot from makeup to skin.
As a makeup artist I loved enhancing skin; my signature style was fresh and glowing, and I often spent most of my time working on the complexion. I also loved giving skincare advice to clients; so many times, makeup concerns were solved with skincare – the two are intrinsically linked.
I started to delve deeper into skin and trained in various treatments including VTCT Level 2 Facials, Rejuvology and Level 3 Facial Electrics.
Slowly the makeup became less and I’m now working as a full-time skin therapist. I have a small treatment room at my home in Bromley/South-East London and work in a London skin clinic 3 days a week.
