Formula Botanica Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation Graduate!

I love skincare and I love helping other people to fathom out their skincare. I meet a lot of women who think that make-up is their concern, but actually when we chat, it’s often the skincare underneath the make-up that is causing problems. I find that many people are confused by the plethora of skincare available, and are just not sure what their skin needs. Confused by their own skin too, using the wrong products can actually exacerbate issues, or create new issues. Therefore understanding both is key.

Three years ago I decided to enrol onto the Formula Botanica Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation because I wanted to understand skincare more. There is so much amazing skincare out there, I don’t think I’ve ever wanted my own range. However I recommend products all the time, and wanted to have a deeper understanding of them.

Formula Botanica Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation

The Formula Botanica Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation is really great. On enrollment you have two years to complete the course, life got in the way of mine and I extended a couple of times. It is possible to do it in six months – I think because I didn’t have a range in mind, the course took a back burner for me quite a lot. I really did enjoy it though and have learnt so much. I definitely wouldn’t call myself a formulator, I do however understand the process of designing and making a product more. I definitely appreciate a product more – not that I didn’t before, but I guess I’m thinking even more of the time, love and dedication behind it.

I think the course has helped me to understand skin more too, it can be such a complex subject. Skincare however doesn’t need to be complicated, but it does need to be thought out. A simple routine tailored for your skin can be way more effective than lots of steps of the latest products, some of which you’re not really sure what they’re doing. Don’t get me wrong, I love a new product but only if it is suited to my skin and actually benefits it.

I’m not sure I’ll be launching my own range any time soon, but I’ll continue exploring products more and learning as much as I can. Helping me bring a better service to you!
