Still loving a bit of W3LL PEOPLE…

There are so many amazing green beauty brands these days, the choice has never been better. It can actually be hard to keep up with what is out there. I’ve got favourites that have been in my kit for a while, and I’ve also got gems in there that I’ve forgotten about. I’m currently giving it some long overdue love so that I can restock the good stuff, and then work out what I need and add some more good stuff.

One brand that I love and will always be in my kit is W3LL PEOPLE.

“Founded by an elite make-up artist, cosmetic dermatologist and a tree hugging entrepreneur”

this US brand is definitely at the forefront of the green beauty movement. W3LL PEOPLE were the ones that made me interested in mineral powder foundation. Anything I’d tried before felt too dry for skin and sat in an unflattering manner i.e highlighted everything that I was trying to hide. W3LL PEOPLE’s powders were different because they added organic aloe, chamomile and green tea into the mix, which made the powders almost creamy, and they actually looked great on skin. If you haven’t tried them then I’d recommend it, even if powder isn’t your thing. You can spritz them with water after application to make them nice and dewy or even mix the powder in with your moisturiser to make a creamy base.

W3LL PEOPLE are a make-up brand but with skin in mind – the products will nourish and care for skin at the same time as enhancing it. They are 100% natural with an emphasis on organic ingredients.

“We only use premium quality natural and organic ingredients in our make-up not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because they’re better.”

There are no artificial fragrance or preservatives, no mineral oils, GMOs, pthalates, sulfates – the list goes on.. They are part of the clean gang for sure. There is no animal testing and all the loose powder products are vegan. The cream products do contain beeswax however and any of the blue based shades may contain carmine.

So I’m a fan of the mineral powder foundation, what else do I like? Here are some of my kit essentials –

Bio-Correct Multi Action Concealer

LOVE. Natural concealer has always been a bit tricky to find for the kit but these are brilliant. Use these under the eyes and to brighten around the nose and chin. Packed full of fab skincare ingredients like organic algae, pomegranate, coffee and anti-ageing peptides, they’ll help the thing you’re trying to conceal too. They’re not shimmery which is SUCH a welcome thing. They made my product of the month back in May. Just need a few more colours..

Narcissist Foundation Stick

These are great. There is a wider colour range than the concealer but they do contain mica so there is a slight sheen/shimmer. They’re great for giving skin a gentle highlight and lovely luminosity.

Universalist Multi-Stick

These can be used for anything, but I tend to use them more as blushers. The texture is lovely, not too creamy so they give skin a glow rather than a sheen. Number 8 is my go-to colour for a gentle natural flush. Three new colours have also recently been launched, they all look lovely and really wearable.

Bio Brightener Stick

I love it when someone says that my skin is glowing, unfortunately these days it’s usually down to what highlighter I’m wearing rather than a natural glow! This brightening stick is lovely, it gives skin instant radiance but without looking like a make-up. Like the rest of the range it contains lots of skin boosting ingredients so it will nourish the complexion too. It is creamy, lightweight and easy to apply. I just use fingers to dab onto high points of the face, make sure you blend away any edges so it just becomes part of the skin.

Elitist Eyeshadow Powder

These are fab. I have a few in my kit – No 83 or Luminous Copper is my ultimate colour. The pigment is really strong and vivid and they have good staying power. I always prime lids before with some kind of setting powder. They are loose which can sometimes be annoying in a kit, but they are worth carrying!

Expressionist Mascara

My favourite natural mascara so far. It defines and adds volume, it also stays on all day. Definitely recommend it. It comes in four colours..

Bio Brightener Invisible Powder

This is one of W3LL PEOPLE’s newest products. It is incredibly lightweight and brushes on to skin like a dream. It is about creating a soft focus finish, helping to blur fine lines and soften skin. Use it to set a cream foundation or concealer, or even on its own to give skin a polished finish. The powder does contain mica and pearl powder so it is going to give skin a glow. I’m not sure if I would use it on any of my male clients for this reason – for most men I’m trying to create a matter finish. I would also say  to be a little careful with flash photography – make sure you blend it really well and check how it reacts under the lights. The Realist Invisible Setting Powder is another great powder too, this one contains rice starch so if you are worried about excess oil, this can help to control shine.

What are your favourites from the range?
