Hopefully with Organic Beauty Week in full swing you are discovering, rediscovering and trying lots of new organic brands. There are so many amazing skincare brands that have been certified by the Soil Association, we are quite spoilt for choice now. The make-up side of things is a little less bountiful unfortunately. Organic make-up is definitely on the up, there are some lovely ranges out there, however not many are certified. This means a lot of label reading and research to make sure that the brands are bona fida. Luckily many are the real deal and I am lucky to have a lot in my kit 🙂 however there are also those telling a few porkies..
If you are new to the green beauty scene, organic certification really is one of the best ways to weed through the brands and make sure what you are using is good. Odylique have a great little make-up range that is certified organic so you can be sure of its credentials.
Their Eyeliner is lovely, it is 100% natural with 64% of that being organic. Jojoba and sunflower seed oil are among the ingredients that make this pencil lovely and soft – but not actually too soft which is important for an eye pencil. It also contains Fairtrade shea butter making it the first make-up brand to have a product certified organic and Fairtrade. Another reason to give it a go. The colour pay off is good, with a rich deep black – smudge it in and layer for longevity. An eyeliner is a great way to dip in and try a brand, and it will compliment anything that you are using already.
Have you tried it?
