I LOVE this cream. I’ve been using it as a night time cream and my skin loves it too. It definitely feels more plump and radiant the next day. The cream is designed more for drier and mature skins, I’m not either, but my skin was lacking in something (sleep, nutrition, hydration.. the usual..) However this cream seems to be doing the trick. It also seems to be a favourite with many people. Last week Therapi’s founder Tanya Hawkes was featured in my 5 Minutes With, and she said their Ultra Radiance Cream was her one beauty product she couldn’t live without, and that it has become their best seller.
So why are we all loving it?? Well it certainly means business when it comes to hydration thanks to the ultra nourishing blend of jojoba, coconut, apricot kernel and rosehip fruit oil along with shea butter. All of these are an instant drink for thirsty skin as well as important nutrition. Propolis, which is made by bees from the resins of plants, is a key ingredient and brings natural anti-ageing properties. It helps to protect and regenerate cells as well as helping the production of collagen and elastin. Honey is also key, a well known source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and enzymes, it also helps the skin retain moisture. Another star is Rose Otto which will rejuvenate and uplift skin. It really is packed to the brim with vitamins and antioxidants; a super charged boost of organic nutrients to super charge skin.
Certainly an ingredient list to be proud of, but of course the proof is in the pudding. How does it perform? The Ultra Radiance cream is a treatment cream and sits in its own category, (as opposed to the moisturiser category). It can be used day or night, as and when your skin needs it. I think its important to listen to your skin because there are certainly days when it will need less or more of something. The texture of this cream is rich, too rich for some. It will add an instant glow, not greasy but a definite sheen. For me, it is too much in the morning, my skin does drink it in quite quickly, but it can feel a little tacky. I think it could be amazing for a really parched skin before make-up. However, for me night time works best. My skin type is kind of normal, slightly sensitive I would say. I think perhaps for me as the weather gets hotter (we can hope!) I might need to cut back a little as it could get too much. Perhaps a once or twice a week treatment – it massages into the skin really well. Also take it down your neck and onto the chest area, it soothed my sunkissed (ahem) patch wonderfully. Rub the excess into your hands to nourish them too. My skin has definitely benefited from this being in my regime.
Therapi Honey Skincare are Soil Association certified organic and also 5% of their profits go to bee conservation projects.
Has anyone else tried it? Do you love it as much as I do?
