Get the look – Birdy at the BAFTAs…

Birdy BAFTAS

I recently made gorgeous Birdy up for the BAFTA Television Awards, for which she performed her latest single Wild Horses.

Birdy had two outfits, one for the red carpet and one for her performance. It was the hottest day of the year so far but she kept her cool as she wore a stunning green dress and a beautiful jewelled head piece. Birdy has amazing alabaster skin so after prepping her skin with good skincare I used Aveda’s tinted moisturiser for a lightweight base, and then concealed with W3LL PEOPLE’s Bio Correct Multi-Action Concealer – my current Product of the Month. I would say in general I do quite a lot of work with concealers rather than foundations, I find it keeps skin looking more natural. Her eyes are a mixture of Couleur Caramel and Sleek Make-up eyeshadows and M&S Autograph eyeliner – I know not all ticking the green box but I knew these weren’t going to budge right through to Birdy’s performance. On her cheeks I used Liz Earle’s cream blusher in Nude. On Birdy’s lips I used Absolution’s Organic Lipstick in Rouge Bordeaux #1 I LOVE these lipsticks!!!

For her performance Birdy changed into an amazing sliver and blue vintage dress. I took her lipstick off and made her eyes the focus by adding lots of silver glitter and deepening her eyeshadow. The glitter I used is by Fardel and is something I’ve had in my kit for a while. We have been using glitter more and more recently on Birdy so it something I have been looking into. I have just ordered some biodegradable glitter so am very excited – watch this space!!
