I shot this cute editorial with photographer Catherine Harbour at the end of last year. On the girls skin I used Aveda Tinted Moisturiser and a touch of cream blush from Liz Earle. On their eyes, I kept it pretty and soft with a wash of pastel pinks, I used a powder shadow from Couleur Caramel. For the bright lips I used Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar – if you’re looking for a bright lip, they have an option in most colours – 40 shades in fact!
Alex Rose on the left is wearing Anime, a vibrant neon pink (although it looks a bit red in this photo) and Jessica is wearing the same but mixed with a white. I love the Lip Tars although they can be a little drying so make sure you moisturise lips well and exfoliate any dry skin before using. Also, like OCC say, a little goes a very long way, you only need a tiny amount of product to paint any lips. Apply with a brush for the best application. They are a great addition to my kit, I use them straight from the tube but also like to mix. There is a blue and and a yellow so make sure you have the red too, and you really can have any colour.
I was very pleased to see them in Selfridges Oxford St, it is so nice to have a play with the range rather than just looking online. I’m sure that some more are going to be finding their way into my kit!
